What has changed
Since December 15, 2025, SAAQ-recognized training (PESR – class 1, 125h) is mandatory for any new class 1 licence. Current class 1 holders are not affected. Holders of a class 2 or 3 licence for 24 months or more may be eligible for a shorter, adapted training program (the bridge program).

Class 2
Bus. Training adapted to your experience.
- Both F and M endorsements offered
Class 3
Straight truck. Training adapted to your experience.
- Both F and M endorsements offered
Class 1 also allows you to drive class 2 and 3 vehicles.
Already hold a class 2 or 3 licence?
You could be eligible for an accelerated bridge program — a shorter training that exempts skills you've already demonstrated.
